Design Review
 
We encourage and support the repair, remodel, and enhancement of homes and landscaping within the Coral Canyon community. Any exterior changes to your home and landscaping require approval before work starts. Homeowners must submit a design review application for review to the Coral Canyon Design Review Committee and obtain written approval prior to beginning any modifications.
 
We know the process can feel intimidating, but we're here to help. Please review the information below and reach out to the Association at any point during the process for help.

Submitting a Request

2. Please include a drawing or rendering of all projects with dimensions, setbacks and measurements from a ground-level and a birds-eye viewpoint. 
3. Include information on materials you plan to use, i.e., color samples, types of rocks etc. 
 
Once you have your request completed, you may submit it electronically via email to CoralCanyonHoa@ccmcnet.com
or bring it to the Coral Canyon office at the Canyon Club.
 
The approved final design is binding. Once approved, the item must be installed as per the submitted working drawings or submitted requested revisions. If you have modifications, if approved, you will be granted a variance by the DRC no later than forty-five (45)  days after submission. No such changes may be undertaken until a variance has been granted.

Exhibit A is a summary of the rules set by the governing documents and any other policies or declarations for the community.
 
 
Coral Canyon has a comprehensive list of plants that can be used when planning your front or backyard oasis. 
Be sure to review the list to ensure you are within the guidelines of the community.
 
 

Design Review Committee Meetings for Submission Review

The Design Review Committee (DRC) is comprised of homeowner volunteers who review all forms to ensure that changes fit the design theme set in place by the community's documents, laws and city codes. 
 
The DRC meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month (unless otherwise designated.)
 
Applications submitted on or before the Friday prior to the Wednesday meeting will be included for review. 
 
Homeowners will be notified within 48 hours after the meeting with the DRC results.  

Automatically Approved Items

There are items that do not need approval from the Design Review Committee. While no prior approval is needed for these items, some items may still be subject to regular compliance standards. 
 
  • Alterations to the inside of the home.
  • Removal of dead plants.
  • Replacement of a plant with the same species or like species of plant.
  • Holiday/Seasonal decor. (See Holiday Lighting Policy for more information)
  • Front door wreaths or similar front door decorations.
